ODOP: The Tornado and the Dog (4.b.)

4. ii.

And by the way, those eyes of ours
would have seen just the same as his —
you know? the dust and wind and white horror
that precedes the tornado like a train?

Whooshing stillness-in-motion.
Windows rattling like bojangles.

Nothing else living was, except
that dog and it.
